Evidence states

Every claim on a plate is labeled. Reconstructed roots are never presented as surviving text. Folk stories are kept, and marked as folk.

  • Established

    Multiple independent sources, or a primary text in hand.

  • Probable

    The best reading of the evidence we have.

  • Proposed

    A scholarly reconstruction, not a surviving form.

  • Disputed

    Competent sources disagree.

  • Folk etymology

    A living story that is not the derivation.

  • Unknown

    The plate says so.

Number comes late

Hebrew gematria and Greek isopsephy are historical systems. Modern English ordinal (A=1…Z=26) is a modern mapping and is labeled as such. A striking sum does not inhabit an ancient etymology. Misses are retained. Deeper calculation belongs to CIPHER.

Notes

Sources follow Turabian notes-bibliography. Evidence states sit on the first surface. Each claim is bound to a numbered note. Full notes live in a collapsed ledger. Addresses of pages are never printed.
